"My baby boy George was born with lop ears on both sides; the right worse than the left. It was sadly the first thing people commented on from day 1 and led to significant anxiety in both myself and my husband. I had no knowledge of how the deformity would progress so started doing some research online. The hospital paediatrics advice was simply to wait and see, but from what I'd read we had a 6 week window before the ear cartilage hardened and case reports of splinting the ear, rather than leaving alone, led to better aesthetic outcomes. We took the plunge and ordered EarBuddies. We fitted them when George was exactly a week old.
Right ear before EarBuddies
3 weeks into splintage
After 4 weeks
Left ear before EarBuddies
3 weeks into splintage
After 4 weeks
The instructions were easy to follow and George didn't appear bothered by them at all. We reviewed the results after 2 weeks and decided to splint for a further 2 weeks to ensure the best outcome. We are really pleased with the results. Both ears have significantly improved - both with the lop and the general shape of the ear. I would definitely use again and recommend to other parents. Many thanks."
